Introducing Incoming President, Dr. Mayme Hostetter

精品麻豆鈥檚 22nd President

Dr. Mayme Hostetter begins her term as 精品麻豆鈥檚 22nd President on July 1, 2025. Dr. Hostetter is a Twin Cities native. She attended Harvard University as a National Merit Scholar, graduating magna cum laude in English. Dr. Hostetter earned her EdM from Harvard Graduate School of Education and her EdD from Columbia University鈥檚 Teachers College. She has also worked in MIT鈥檚 Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences as a member of the Gabrieli Laboratory, investigating the neural pathways of typical and atypical reading development, and has English teaching experience.

Dr. Hostetter returned to New York in 2008 to serve as a founding Director of Teaching and Learning at Teacher U at Hunter College. In 2011, she helped to found the Relay Graduate School of Education in New York City. As Relay grew, so too did Dr. Hostetter鈥檚 role and responsibilities. As President of Relay, Dr. Hostetter ensured that this relatively new institution was establishing itself as a stable one 鈥 financially and administratively. Under her administration, Relay carried no debt and was the only graduate school of education in the country to earn five straight 鈥淎鈥 ratings from the National Council on Teacher Quality, the toughest evaluator in the field. Last spring, Dr. Hostetter was named a 2024 Presidential Leadership Scholar by the Bush, Clinton, and LBJ Foundations.
